Description
High Grade 1803 S-258 Cent
1803 AU 50. S-258B, R.1. Well struck on the hair curls, the leaves in the wreath are somewhat soft though. Uncommonly clean, the surfaces show a bit of brightness--apparently from having been wiped at one time with the resultant hairlines being more obvious on the obverse. Struck from the later state of the dies with a long arc crack from the date running through the curls to the ribbon and terminating at the left rim.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 224G, PCGS# 1483, GSID# 808)
