Description

1804 1C --Corroded--ANACS. VG Details, Net Good 4. S-266, the only known dies, R.2. Die State I. Deeply colored in dark brown shades, the surfaces retain outline definition over the central features and more or less sufficient detail near the borders. The date is, however, easily discernible. The planchet is rough and pitted from corrosion, but this is still a significant offering for early copper specialists. With a limited (estimated) mintage of 96,500 pieces, the 1804 is a key date issue at all levels or preservation.
