Description
Low Mintage 1804 Draped Bust Cent, VF30 NGC
1804 1C VF30 NGC. S-266a, R.4. An early die state, neither the obverse nor the reverse display peripheral die breaks over the RTY in LIBERTY or the MERIC in AMERICA. This coin possesses a smooth planchet for the grade which has toned to rich, even, glossy-brown colors. There are no singularly mentionable abrasions, and the wear is evenly distributed throughout. The reverse is rotated several degrees counterclockwise. With an estimated mintage of just 96,500 pieces, it is little wonder that the 1804 is a key date in all grades. From the Ohio Collection.
