1804 1C --Corroded--NCS. VF Details. S-266b, B-1, R.2. The envelope that accompanies this piece is marked VF with a price of $125 and carries the additional notation: "D.198 - R8. Rarest state. Obverse die broken." The obverse has numerous fine tooling lines that are blended with the surrounding surface. The reverse is lightly corroded. The surfaces have desirable medium brown toning with darker steel and maroon on the reverse. EAC 12.
