1804 S-266b Cent, VF25
1804 1C VF25 PCGS. CAC. S-266b, B-1, R.2. Our EAC Grade Fine 12. The middle die state has an obverse rim break on RTY and a die crack through MERI, but no reverse rim break. The sharpness is close to VF20 with pleasing light chocolate-brown surfaces that show a few dabs of steel-brown and splashes of maroon on the reverse. Two minuscule rim nicks are note at the left obverse border, with scattered marks on each side. However, this piece has generally exceptional eye appeal for the grade.Ex: Bowers and Merena (8/2009), lot 173.
