1807 1C Comet AU58 NGC. S-271, R.1. An intermediate die state that exhibits a prominent 'comet' above the hair ribbon. A mahogany-brown cent that has exquisite definition within Liberty's hair tresses. A few wispy handling marks are noted in the obverse field, and portions of the reverse field have lighter gray color. A few minor rim nicks are also evident. Struck from a clashed obverse die.
