1808 1C --Corroded--NCS. AU Details. S-278, B-2, R.3. This variety is easily identified by the leaf tips aligned with the second S of STATES. This walnut-brown example shows little actual wear and great detail for a Classic Head cent, though the obverse shows noticeable areas of corrosion and the reverse exhibits small pockets as well.
