1809 XF 45 Burnished. S-280, the only known dies, R.2. Deep brown over most of each side with hints of original red peeking through in several areas, most notably around the date on the obverse and the denomination and several peripheral letters on the reverse. Weakly impressed from stars 3 through 7 and the corresponding area on the reverse.Ex: 1997 New York ANA (HNAI, 7/97), lot 8149.
