Description
NGC 1811/0 AU 50. S-286, R.4. A rare high grade example of this very elusive Classic cent. The 1811/0 is the undisputed key to this short and very difficult series. The surfaces are smooth and virtually undisturbed by abrasions, the most obvious flaw being a small planchet lamination on the cheek of Liberty. Much of the original glossy luster remains beneath the deep brown patina that also shows a surprising undertone of faint original red (a rarely encountered color on Classic cents). Trends $9,750.
