1812 1C Small Date AU55 PCGS. S-290, B-2, R.1. Elegant sapphire overtones lend color to the otherwise teak-brown surfaces. The strike is solid, if not absolutely sharp, and only a touch of wear is present on the uppermost design elements. The reverse shows evidence of heavy peripheral die deterioration.
