Attractive Mint State 1812 Small Date Classic Cent
1812 1C Small Date MS62 Brown NGC. S-291, High R.2. This variety is most easily distinguished by the dash (die scratch) below the E in ONE on the reverse. This is quite a remarkable coin for a Classic cent. The devices show remarkably sharp detailing, but what is most unusual is the (relatively) light brown color of the coin. The surfaces are glossy and there are very few imperfections--those being limited to a few faint specks of carbon and a couple of minor abrasions.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 224W, PCGS# 1561, Greysheet# 855)
