Mint State and Undoubtedly Condition Census 1813 Classic Cent, S-292
1813 MS 63 Brown PCGS. S-292, R.2. An uncommonly high grade for this elusive type that is seldom seen better than a well worn VG or Fine. This glossy brown example is surely well within the Condition Census, even when its few defects are netted out. The C.C. as listed in the Noyes' reference is 65, 60, 55 (multiples). The surfaces have a lovely lavender, rose, and variegated light and dark brown iridescence that is most attractive. The only mentionable marks are located below the eye of Liberty, another below the lovelock, and on the reverse just left of the O in ONE. Sharply struck throughout.
