1813 XF 40 Dark, Slightly Porous. S-293, R.2. The Close Star variety, so-called because star 13 is nearer to the 3 in the date on this variety than on the S-292 coins. Deep brown color overall with the highpoints on each side a light to medium brown. Some planchet flaking is noted in the center of the reverse.
