Description
1819 N-5 Tied For Seventh Finest Known
1819 N-5, R.3. Sharpness of XF 45, net XF 40. Tied for seventh finest known with several others. Light tan on most of the coin, but some red corrosion areas are noted surrounding the date and Liberty, and the stars on the right. Similar on the reverse, with more mottled colors overall. Boldly struck and still quite eye-appealing for the variety, and apparently unknown in true Mint State.Ex: McCawley-Grellman Auctions (1/96), lot 315.
