1819 N-10 Cent, MS64 Brown

1819 1C Small Date MS64 Brown NGC. N-10, R.4. Our EAC Grade AU55. Ex: Mervis Collection. A late die state with the obverse cracked and flowlined, showing only partial denticles. The reverse die is worn with the N in ONE and C in CENT weak at their bottoms. Steel-brown and olive toning appear on both sides with traces of cartwheel luster still evident. Although 1819 N-10 is scarce, it has a rather high condition census. Bill Noyes ranks this piece as eighth finest known.
