Spectacular MS67 Brown
1820 Large Date Cent, N-13
1820 1C Large Date MS67 Brown NGC. N-13, R.1. The familiar
die marriage with a heavy obverse die crack and a multiply punched
L in LIBERTY. This variety appeared in some quantity within the
Randall hoard, but is also nearly invariably spotted. The present
Superb Gem provides an exception, since the undisturbed, highly
lustrous surfaces are essentially carbon-free. Glimpses of the
initial Mint red color emerge here and there. EAC 63. Census: 3 in
