Description
1820 1C Large Date, N-13, R.1, MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. A heavy die crack connects the date and stars on this crisply struck near-Gem from the Randall Hoard. Original gold color alternates with blushes of lilac patina. The upper-left obverse field appears to have a partial print fragment, but the surfaces are generally free from contact aside from a minor mark behind Liberty's mouth. Our EAC grade MS62.Ex: Baltimore Signature (Heritage, 7/2003), lot 5168; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2004), lot 4165.
