Description

1820 N-13 Large Date Cent
MS65 Red and Brown

1820 1C Large Date, N-13, R.1, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. The usual die state with bold cracks throughout the obverse margin. The N-13 1820 is the most prevalent Matron Head variety in Mint State, courtesy of the Randall Hoard. But Gems with substantial remaining Red are seldom seen. This orange-gold and lilac type representative is well struck save for incompleteness on the stars. Marks are absent, though small spots are noted on the N in ONE and the EN in CENT. Our EAC grade MS63.
From The Maurice Storck Collection.
