1822 1C MS64 Brown NGC. N-12, R.4. Our EAC Grade MS60. Ex:
Mervis Collection. This is the John Wright Plate Coin for the
variety. The obverse is cracked through star 7 into the head,
as seen on N-7 offered above. This is an impressive olive-brown
example with minor spots and splashes of blue-steel on both sides.
Golden-tan remains on both sides, faded from mint red. The surfaces
have full cartwheel luster on this attractive and important
