Lovely 1822 N-2 Cent, MS64 Brown
1822 1C MS64 Brown PCGS. N-2, R.2. Although type collectors generally prefer the 1816 to 1820 dates from the Randall Hoard, or the later dates in the 1830s, specialists understand the importance and rarity of Mint State large cents dated from 1821 to 1833. There are no common dates in that range in higher grades. This piece has excellent definition with satin luster and attractive dark brown surfaces. Both sides have considerable bluish patina, and traces of original mint red remain on the obverse. EAC 55.From the Joshua Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
