Glossy AU 50 1823/2 Cent
1823/2 AU 50 PCGS. N-1, R.2. Well detailed on Liberty's hair curls and on all but the lower right portion of the wreath, with the usual weakness evident at the peripheral stars. Medium brown in color, there is slight evidence of circulation on the highpoints and in the fields, but much original glossy-brown luster remains. A scarce and highly valued date that was omitted in mint reports and presumably included with 1824 mintage figures.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 1630, GSID# 1262)
