Gem Uncirculated 1825 Large cent, N-6
1825 1C MS65 Brown NGC. N-6, Late Die State, R.2. A faint die crack extends through N of ONE and N of CENT. This is a common variety, even in Mint State. However, nearly all the Uncirculated coins are in lower grades (MS60 to MS63), unlike this coin. Lustrous olive-brown color with splashes of tan toning at selected areas. Some minor weakness shows on several of the obverse stars and the reverse is struck a little off-center to the left. This piece probably is the 5th finest, and fits in the lower end of the Condition Census of this variety.
