    Description

1826 1C MS64 Brown PCGS. N-6, R.2. Ex: Wright Plate Coin. Noyes' 1991 Condition Census for this issue includes coins that grade MS60 through MS65, a fact that places this near-Gem among the finest representatives of this die marriage. This is a lovely coin whose surface preservation alone seems to warrant a full Gem grade. PCGS probably graded the coin MS64 due to the presence of several planchet irregularities in the upper obverse field. A remarkably well struck coin for the type with glossy-brown patina and a few stray carbon flecks on both sides.(#1645) (Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 225G, PCGS# 1645)

    Weight: 13.48 grams

    Metal: 100% Copper
