1828 1C Large Narrow Date MS64 Brown PCGS. N-11, Late Die State, R.2. This is an interestingly colored example with an even, deep brick-red color overall. The impression is well centered and bold, if not sharp, and a small toning streak is noted between stars 11 and 12 at the rim. This is only mentioned to help identify this coin for future researchers. Probably about a dozen finer examples of this variety are known, but this is still an extremely important opportunity for the serious large cent specialist.
