Description
1829 1C Large Letters AU58 NGC. N-2, R.2. A rather plentiful die combination, although market experience suggests that all 1829 large cents are elusive in higher grades. This example, for instance, is probably among the two dozen finest 1829 N-2 cents. According to current Census records, there are only about 50 examples of all varieties that grade strict Mint State or finer. The present piece has pleasing medium brown surfaces with splashes of darker toning on each side. EAC 45.From The Collection of a Dallas Gentleman.(Registry values: N491)
