Description

1829 Cent, Lustrous MS65 Brown
N-6, Large Letters

1829 1C Large Letters, N-6, R.1, MS65 Brown PCGS. CAC. Regardless of variety, Mint State 1829 large cents are scarce and are rare at the Gem level. This N-6 representative is boldly struck from unclashed dies, yielding silvery-blue luster over burgundy-brown surfaces. A few specks of carbon are hidden in the patina near the rims but are undetected by the naked eye. A couple of tiny marks on the cheek limit the grade but are truly trivial. Our EAC grade MS60. Population (all varieties included): 3 in 65 Brown, 2 finer (1/16).
