1829 N-8 Cent, MS64 Brown
Large Letters
1829 1C Large Letters, N-8, R.1, MS64 Brown PCGS. Star 1 is
close to the bust tip, and BE in LIBERTY are joined on this Large
Letters Reverse variety. Strike detail is good on the portrait, and
partial star radials are apparent. The O in ONE and the E in CENT
are slightly soft. Rich mahogany-brown surfaces show lovely
blue-violet and coppery accents. Our EAC grade MS60.Ex: Floyd T. Starr Collection (Stack's, 6/1984), lot 228.
