Description
Mint State 1831 N-6 Cent
1831 1C Large Letters MS64 Brown EAC. MS60 EAC. N-6, Intermediate Die State, R.1. Neither die developed any cracks, and the differing die states of the reverse are based solely on the presence or lack of dentilation. On this example, the dentilation is present but weakly defined. This is an excellent example for the date or type collector to consider, as it is a plentiful variety in high quality. At least 30 Mint State examples are known. The obverse has lustrous olive-brown surfaces with darker steel toning on the high points. The reverse is mostly dark steel in color.Ex: McLaughlin and Robinson Coins, Inc.
