Description
Pedigreed Mint State 1832 N-2 Cent
1832 1C Medium Letters MS66 Brown NGC. MS60+ EAC. N-2, Low R.3. This is an amazing example with fully lustrous olive and golden-brown surfaces and hints of steel-blue toning. Struck from an intermediate die state with partial border details. The obverse has a crack joining stars 5 through 10. Both sides have extensive die flowlines extending the stars and letters to the border. This coin is tied for the finest certified by NGC, with just two 1832 large cents garnering the MS66 grade. In both the Robinson S. Brown sale and the Century sale, Superior offered this cent as the fourth finest known example of the variety, a status that we believe it still holds.Ex: Charles White (H.P.
