Description
Census Level 1833 N-6 Cent
1833 1C MS64 Red and Brown NGC. MS63 EAC. N-6, Late Die State, R.1. Previously certified MS65 Red and Brown by PCGS. The Newcomb-6 die combination is one of the three most common of the date, with this offering providing an important opportunity for date and type collectors. This is a late die state with a small piece of the die missing at the lower opening of N in UNITED. The reverse is rotated a few degrees clockwise. Considerable original mint red luster is mixed with light brown toning. A few small spots are visible in the obverse field. This is a wonderful example of the variety, the date, and the type.Ex: Stuart Levine (4/16/99).(#1697) (Registry values: N1793)
