Description

1834 N-3 Cent, MS64 Brown
Condition Census

1834 1C Large 8, Small Stars, Medium Letters, N-3, R.1, MS64 Brown PCGS. Ex: Koshkarian. Noyes Die State B/B. Bold obverse die cracks are evident on this, the usual die state for the variety. Aside from minor carbon spotting beneath the crossbar of the T in CENT, both surfaces are exceptional. Fully lustrous with considerable mint red remaining on the reverse. Bill Noyes grades this piece MS63 and tied for second finest known, while we agree with Bob Grellman's grade. This is a visually stunning piece that is solidly in the Condition Census. Our EAC grade MS62. PCGS Large 8, Small Stars, Medium Letters Population: 12 in 64 Brown (3 in 64+), 16 finer. PCGS N-3 Population: 3 in 64 Brown (1 in 64+), 3 finer (11/21).
