1837 1C Plain Cords, Medium Letters MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. N-8, R.1. Bold obverse dentils and die scratches above the RI in AMERICA separate N-8 from N-7, which was struck from the same dies but in a later state. This is a pleasing Gem that boasts significant fire-red in design recesses. The open fields and portrait are toned brown. Sharply struck except for the left-side stars. MRB MS63.(Registry values: P1)
