1837 1C Plain Cords, Medium Letters MS66 Brown PCGS. N-13,
High R.2. A die scratch through the Y in LIBERTY, a double cut N in
UNITED, and a series of die cracks across the reverse periphery
combine to confirm the Newcomb marriage. This satiny Premium Gem is
unabraded. The obverse is primarily medium brown, but faded red is
evident on both sides, especially the reverse. Population: 3 in 66
Brown, 1 finer (5/08). EAC 63.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 1735, GSID# 1036)
