1838 1C MS64 Red and Brown NGC. N-3, R.1. Our EAC Grade MS63. Ex: Mervis Collection. Probably a late die state with radial flowlines, although border weakness at 7 o'clock on the obverse makes a specific determination impossible. The surfaces are pleasing with bluish-brown toning and considerable faded mint red. The reverse has a dark green carbon spot at ER of AMERICA.From The Adam Mervis Large Cent Collection.(Registry values: N991)
