1838 N-2 Cent, MS65+ Red and Brown
Just Outside the Condition Census
1838 1C MS65+ Red and Brown NGC. N-2, R.1. Our EAC Grade
MS62. Ex: Mervis Collection. Radial flowlines weaken the border
dentils on both sides with the reverse dentilation almost entirely
absent. This lovely olive-brown cent has considerable original mint
red on both sides. Splashes of bluish toning appear on the obverse,
especially at the tip of the nose and along the right border. The
reverse has wispy blue overtones. This example just misses the N-2
