Description
1838 1C MS65 Red and Brown NGC. N-3, R.1. Considerable mint orange appears over each side. The surfaces are well preserved, with no significant abrasions or unsightly spotting, and the design elements are sharply impressed, though all of the star centers are weak. The variety is confirmed by blurred denticles under the date, a perfectly formed E in LIBERTY, vertical die scratches between ON and E in CENT, a small dot above the center reverse dot.
