Description
Important 1839 Booby Head Cent, MS63 Brown NGC
1839 1C Booby Head MS63 Brown NGC. N-11, R.1. Despite the color designation, this coin retains flickers of crimson-red luster in a few of the more protected areas. The outward appearance of both sides is, nonetheless, medium brown in color, and the strike is typical of the type with boldness of detail that is largely confined to the central features. A tiny distraction in the lower left obverse field is noted for accuracy, but this is still a desirable Mint State representative of this popular variety. From the Ohio Collection.
