Small Over Large 18
1840 1C Small Date Over Large 18, N-2, R.2, MS64 Brown PCGS.
Ex: Iskra Collection. Grellman Die State b, early. A narrow rim
break below the date is clearly visible on this satiny, sharply
struck, and fully lustrous chocolate-brown cent. Splashes of
steel-brown toning appear at the upper reverse. This is a lovely
example of the popular Guide Book variety with a bold recut
date. Our EAC grade MS60. PCGS Small over Large 18 Population: 3 in
64 Brown, 1 finer. PCGS N-2 Population: 2 in 64 Brown, 1 finer
