Description
1846 1C Small Date AU53 ANACS. N-6, R.1. This Large Cent is a dark, even purple-brown in color. The centers are sharply defined, but all of the stars are flatly struck. An old scratch by star 11 has long since been patinated over. The 46 in the date has been recut, as struck. A pleasing example that is seemingly conservatively graded.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 226C, PCGS# 1865, GSID# 1117)
