1846 1C Small Date MS65 Brown PCGS. N-21, R.6. Our EAC Grade MS62. Ex: Naftzger Collection. Grellman Die State a. Die lines near the NIT in UNITED confirm the rare die pairing. The obverse is dusky olive-brown and the reverse is blended lavender and mahogany with hints of gunmetal-blue. Well struck and unabraded. Unobtrusive strike-throughs are noted near the C and T in CENT. Both Grellman and Noyes grade it MS63 and list it as CC#1.
