1848 1C MS65 Brown PCGS. CAC. N-28, R.1. Grellman Die State c. A well struck and virtually unabraded Gem. Mostly medium brown though portions of the initial orange-gold color reside at the peripheries, especially on the reverse. One mildly granular area beneath the date. Our EAC grade MS62.Ex: Chicago Central States (Heritage, 4/2012), lot 3095, which realized $1,955.(Registry values: N1793)
