1848 1C MS65 Brown PCGS. N-28, R.1. Ex: Naftzger Collection. Grellman Die State a with fine die lines from the O in ONE to the E in CENT. The smooth fields are reflective on this lovely cent, with light brown surfaces showing traces of original mint red. A trivial spot is visible above star 5 and a trace of wear appears on the high points. Grellman calls this piece AU58 and tied for 13th finest known. Our EAC grade AU55.
