Description
1849 1C MS65 Brown NGC. CAC. N-2, R.2. Grellman meticulously lists the myriad stages of the reverse die crumbling for N-2, which is well advanced (though not yet terminal) on the present chocolate-brown Gem. The reverse die was apparently poorly annealed prior to use. Lustrous and nearly pristine with glimpses of mint red in design recesses.
