1849 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. N-6, R.1. Grellman Die State c. The late, lapped die state of N-22, identified by a vertical die line within the E in CENT. Well struck save for a couple of left-side stars, this Gem Mature Head cent is pristine except for brief contact near star 1 and the left ribbon end. The obverse is olive-brown with glimpses of fire-red in design crevices. The reverse is light chocolate-brown. Certified in an old green label holder. Our EAC grade MS62.(Registry values: N1793)
