Gem 1851/81 Cent, PCGS-Graded

1851/81 1C MS65 Brown PCGS. N-3, R.1. The obverse features lustrous olive-tan surfaces, while the reverse has substantial original crimson color surrounded by lavender-brown fields. Sharply struck aside from a couple of upper obverse stars. No contact is detectable on the reverse, and the obverse field is also nearly pristine. A pair of miniscule ticks on the cheek are all that preclude a higher designation. Population: 4 in 65, 0 finer (2/04).
