Fiery Luster

1852 1C MS64 Red PCGS. N-8, R.1. Grellman Die State c. The obverse is cracked from the low curls to the border, grazing the west point of star 13, and from the coronet point to border above star 5. Both cracks are nearly invisible. This lovely near-Gem, housed in a green-label PCGS holder, has brilliant pinkish-orange luster with a few traces of darker toning and minimal carbon specks. A few low areas, especially on the obverse, remain from the minting process. Our EAC grade MS63.(Registry values: N1793)
