Description
1852 1C MS66 Red and Brown NGC. N-8, R.2. Our EAC Grade MS64. Grellman Die State c. Nearly imperceptible die cracks near stars 5 and 13 allow attribution of this high grade large cent. Both sides display considerable brick-red, though the portrait and open obverse field have mellowed, as has the field below CENT. Abrasions are absent aside from a minute tick below star 13 and a trivial line on the reverse rim at 12:30, which we mention solely as identifiers. A mint-made strike-though affects Liberty's neck and bust truncation.From The Adam Mervis Large Cent Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
