1853 1C MS65 Red PCGS. N-25, R.1. Grellman Die State b. Per Grellman, a "strong horizontal bar to right from dentils left of star 2" is the pickup point for this collectible Newcomb variety. This orange-red Gem has minimal carbon and only incidental contact, though the shoulder curl, upper wreath, and several stars are incompletely impressed. Our EAC grade MS64. Population: 59 in 65 (1 in 65+) Red, 14 finer (9/13).(Registry values: N2998)
