1853 1C MS65+ Red PCGS. N-25, R.1. Die State b, dully repunched under the 1 in the date, a relatively common "hoard state" that is the source for many high-end examples. This coin's fiery orange and rose luster qualifies it as fully Red in the eyes of PCGS, and aside from minor carbon visible at 9 o'clock on the obverse rim and in the date area, this coin has few significant flaws. Our EAC grade MS65.(Registry values: N2998)
