Description
Gem Full Red 1851 Large Cent
1853 1C MS65 Red PCGS. N-25, R.1. Superb mint red color gives this piece an allure that is missing on most early copper coins. Rich copper color surrounds the devices with slightly lighter but equally bright mint red on the remaining areas of the coin. Sharply struck with good balance of strike between the centers and peripheries. A few light carbon specks are scattered over each side but none are large enough to merit individual mention.(#1903) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 226K, PCGS# 1903, GSID# 1170)
